Special Awards of DAEA are awarded to distinguished dignitaries who have made an outstanding contribution to anti-corruption practice, international human rights, international economic and commercial diplomacy, intercultural diplomacy and public diplomacy, corporate social responsibility, international security and defence affairs, and peace initiatives.
Experienced practitioners with an in-depth knowledge of specialist areas (PhD level), specialist diplomacy skills relevant to their practice; responsibility and have made a significant personal contribution may be nominated or invited.
In order to protect the integrity of the Diplomatic Academy, its uniqueness and independence, Special Awards can only be awarded to distinguished persons whose activities have been of significant benefit to the global and economic community. DAEA will not compromise standards and will adhere strictly to the ideals upon which it was founded. Therefore, nominations must be from distinguished and well respected leaders.
Distinguished Fellow of the Diplomatic Academy
DISTINGUISHED FELLOW is awarded by the Board to distinguished dignitaries whose activities have been of significant benefit to the economic community, international human rights, global trade, diplomacy or diplomatic affairs, anti-corruption, anti-organised crime and criminal justice. Distinguished dignitaries who have made an outstanding contribution to anti-corruption practice, international human rights, international economic and commercial diplomacy, international development and peace initiatives; experienced practitioners with an in-depth knowledge of specialist areas; specialist diplomacy skills relevant to their practice; responsibility and has made a significant personal contribution; demonstrates professionalism in the workplace; maintains diplomacy, or trade expertise through continuing professional development. Distinguished fellows can also be awarded to other distinguished persons whose activities have been of significant benefit to the economic community.
Honorary Fellow of the Diplomatic Academy
Honorary Fellows of the Diplomatic Academy are persons of outstanding intellectual ability and well established reputation in their profession, within the international scope. Honorary Fellows are elected by the Presidium of the DAe. To be elected an HONORARY FELLOW the Candidate must be a person whom the Academy wishes to honour for his/her services to commercial, economic, corporate diplomacy, international commercial arbitration, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering or anti-human trafficking, to the commercial diplomacy profession or the Diplomatic Academy, or whose acceptance thereof reflects honour upon the Academy. The number of Honorary Fellows shall not exceed twenty at any one time.
