Academician of Diplomatic Academy of Europe
An Incorporated Academician of the Diplomatic Academy

Academician is a distinguished award in the Diplomatic Academy of Europe and will only be awarded on account of personal integrity and professional character, positions of honor, professional and personal contributions toward advancement and furthering the purposes of the Diplomatic Academy, eminence in advancement and professional practice or in diplomatic training, research, and or other distinguished attainments in related field. Academicians of Diplomatic Academy of Europe are competent and skilled practitioners of proved ability at postdoctoral level. Diplomatic Academy of Europe established the Academician category to provide distinguished senior leaders, practitioners and diplomats the opportunity to continue to apply their knowledge and experience.
Academicians may attend, participate in, speak or present at international forums, debates, conferences or other diplomatic events/programmes and provide their insight on emerging issues and trends in a wide range of diplomatic affairs related issues. In addition, Academicians may author, often in partnership with the Diplomatic Academy of Europe, articles or case studies on topics of particular interest to them and may often be invited as distinguished guest speakers on related subjects. Any project that has been completed and granted a PhD, DSc, DDipl, DPhil, Mastership, C Dipl etc is eligible for consideration. Previously published PostDoctoral projects on commercial diplomatic affairs or anti-corruption related topic will be considered.
Election of Academician of Diplomatic Academy of Europe
Potential new Academicians of Diplomatic Academy of Europe are either nominated or recommended by Fellows or Higher Doctoral Fellows of the Diplomatic Academy or Members of the Congress of Diplomats. Nominees must be distinguished diplomats, specialists and or experts in related fields and professionally active any where in the world. Nominees' field must fall into one of the Diplomatic Academy's categories of diplomatic service. Election to Academician recognizes outstanding, distinguished and extraordinary career accomplishments. Academicians in the Diplomatic Academy must have made a significant and notable contribution to related field. This includes, but not limited to research, teaching, training, speaking and outstanding work in diplomatic affairs related field (research, training and practice).
Practitioners elected as Academician including distinguished experts, professors, practitioners or specialists are uniquely qualified based on the extraordinary expertise they have demonstrated during their distinguished careers. Professors, Senior Lecturers of other institutions, Senior Diplomats, Senior Government officials, or distinguished practitioners who have been judged by the Diplomatic Academy Board to have attained such a high position in commercial diplomatic affairs or anti-corruption related field as to merit promotion to Academician may qualify. Those holding other positions and or certain qualifications laid down in the by-laws and who satisfy the Board of their high level of significant proven practical and professional experience (through published projects/books/articles), including having made a significant contribution of excellent value to related field will be considered .
